'Wees de Foto' Foundation aims to provide orphans anywhere in the world in their own photo album.

These children often have no, little or bad memories. By giving them a photo album with their own photos, we want this replaced by a nice reminder. Their own book with fine memories.

The photographer who visits the orphanage lives a week between the children and photographs their daily lives. She goes to school, plays and eats with them. She gives attention. This attention is enormously important in their childhood, it enhances their sense of self-esteem. They don't have parents anymore who give them love, attention, kind words and hugs.

The photo albums are made in the Netherlands by creative volunteers who "adopt" a booklet. Thus, each album is made with a lot of attention and each album is unique.
